Welcome to Linea Rubra
Linea Rubra is an NGO that researches and investigates human rights violations, crimes against humanity, and violations of international criminal law. We combine a constructivist framework with contemporary research methods, such as open source intelligence (OSINT) and satellite intelligence (SATINT), to expose patterns of violence. By collecting, verifying, and connecting dispersed evidence, we can understand the dynamics and the circumstances that generated these abuses, and map the networks of actors and institutions responsible.

Our goal is accountability for the people, institutions and systems responsible for human rights abuses, and we hope that our research can be useful in furthering the transitional justice process. While it might be impossible to completely eradicate violence from our world, we believe it’s important to examine and expose the instances where the metaphorical red line is crossed: this is the work of Linea Rubra.
Our Projects
Supersect Project
We are investigating connections between neonazi, fascist, and neoreactionary groups involved with the alt-right political movement in the US. Our goal is to identify the main organizations and actors involved, understand what connects them, and deconstruct how their ideologies might be influencing current US policy.
Recontextualizing the Strategy
of Tension
We are researching the way the media and political discourse influenced people's memories and knowledge of terrorist violence in Italy during the Lead Years. We plan to apply our findings to further studies of the impact of AI and fake news on our current information ecosystem.
The Rise of Evangelicalism
in Latin America
We are taking notice of the quick and exponential rise of evangelical churches across Latin America in recent years and launching investigations into the connections they have with nationalist political parties and foreign actors.
